Hello Fellow Ponders,
Wow! Where has the time gone. It is only 4 weeks until
our 2008 Pond Tour. Everyone has been busy preparing and
getting ready for this great event. We have been steady
working on 2 different ponds to get ready for this
event ourselves. Our line up of participants includes two
of our Waco Schools and a number of new comers. We have a
great group of 14 ponds that are
getting ready for this event. As members I want to
encourage you all to help support our group by purchasing
tickets for your families and friends for this event. We

Don't miss out on this once a year event. We want to
reach our goal for our donation to the Cameron Park Zoo.
Hope to see you there.
Our meeting this month will be on May the 20, at 7:00 PM.
Our hostess is Dottie Prestwich, Louis and Sheila
Scala. At this meeting we will have our annual plant
swap. So if you have plants that need to be thinned in
your pond, this is the time to take the chance to share
with our fellow ponders. We will also have a
demonstration on how to separate those lilies and re-pot
them for the season. I have had many of you ask how
the best ways of doing this and what is the best media to
pot them in. So join us and have those questions
answered. Email us for directions Don and Linda Jones
I would also like to add a little note that we recently
lost all of our fish to possibly raccoons or a bobcat. If
there is anyone who would like to thin your fish
population we would like to adopt them. Give us a call or
just email back if you would like to do this. I also have
a school that has put in a new pond project for there
students that would like to adopt some fish also. Call me
at (254)230-4710 or email Don and Linda Jones
Well that's all I have for today so we will see you at
the meeting and don't forget to get your tickets for our
tour.
Happy Ponding!
Don and Linda Jones, Your WPS Presidents
