The Waco Pond Society was asked to have a display at the Gardenfest in April of 2000. While checking out the grounds at the Arboretum we discovered this pond and thought how the garden at this location was just crying out for a real pond.

So, we put it to a vote and voted to go into partnership with the Arboretum and build a pond for them. We also agreed to maintain the pond on a weekly basis.
