Jan's Pond

Jan has a lined pond that is approximately 1300 gallons.  She uses a biological filter made out of a 50 gallon drum and a mechanical filter attached to her pump.

She has Shubunkins, a Koi, a Comet Goldfish and a Fantail.  She has snails, tadpoles and of course toads and frogs.   Her plants include:  water lilies, lotus, iris and umbrella palm.

She has surrounded her pond with limestone rocks which are out of the water and she hopes to eventually get them mortored into place.  She is also planning to build a waterfall in the future to help camaflage the biological filter.
